REMOTE HOST IP ADDRESS DISPLAYED AS "::" OR "0.0.0.0" IN ACCESS_LOG (Doc ID 862880.1)

Symptoms

Out of the box installation displays the IP address as "::" e.g.

:: - - [date time] "GET / HTTP/1.1" 200 14684
:: - - [date time] "GET /ohs_images/portals.css HTTP/1.1" 200 14795
:: - - [date time] "GET /ohs_images/9iAShome_banner_2.gif HTTP/1.1" 200 6505
:: - - [date time] "GET /ohs_images/space.gif HTTP/1.1" 200 43
:: - - [date time] "GET /Tab_files/green-green.gif HTTP/1.1" 200 952



If the httpd.conf file is modified to set the Listen directive with an IPv4 address, the IP address displays as 0.0.0.0 e.g.

Listen xxx.xx.x.xx:port
