Datatype Length Is Incorrectly Multiplied by 4 when Reverse Engineering from (EIM) Enterprise Integration Manager (Siebel) Tables with ODI
(Doc ID 888995.1)

Symptoms
In Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), when attempting to reverse engineer an (EIM) Enterprise Integration Manager (Siebel) table which is implemented in an Oracle RDBMS schema with the RKM Siebel EIM Oracle, the datatype lengths of the reversed columns are surprisingly multiplied by a value of 4 (excepting for Number and Date datatypes).
For example, if the datatypes for columns in the database are :
- CHAR(1)
- VARCHAR2(100)
After the reverse engineering operation the datatypes are having the following attributes in the ODI Model Datastores :
- CHAR(4)
- VARCHAR2(400)
