Symptoms

Unable to apply <Patch 7445876>

With OPatch 1.0.0.0.62 the following error is generated:

at.oracle.sysman.oii.oiic.OiicStandardInventorySession.initSession(OiicStandardInventorySession.java:167)
at opatch.O2O.setupSession(O2O.java:535)
at opatch.O2O.setupInventory(O2O.java:597)
at opatch.O2O.setupInventoryThenRAC(O2O.java:1109)
at opatch.O2O.main(O2O.java:1163)


With OPatch 1.0.0.0.60 an error similar to the following is generated:

The Oracle Home e:\product\10.1.3.1\oracleas_1 is not registered with the Central Inventory.
OPatch was not able to get details of the home from the inventory.
Make sure that Windows 'System32' directory is in your PATH. For example, C:\WINNT\System32
ERROR: OPatch failed because of Inventory problem.
OPatch returns with error code = 100
