Existing Word 2007 Documents with a .DOCX Extension Do Not Convert on Resubmit After Adding Extension Map for DOCX in Configuration Manager (Doc ID 979811.1)

Symptoms

On UCM 7.1, Word 2007 (docx) documents were initially checked in without the docx extenstion mapping to application/msword. For those, the weblayout documents were passed thru as docx (both vault and weblayout were docx). Since adding the extension in the File Formats part of Configuration Manager, new content converts properly to PDF. However, the existing content does not convert when resubmitted.
