"LIBTUX_CAT:1384: ERROR: xa_start flags 0 returned -9" Followed By "LIBTUX_CAT:328: ERROR: No space in Bulletin Board for Transaction Table" Errors (Doc ID 981137.1)

Symptoms

Tuxedo 8.1

The Tuxedo Server outage started from the error below which appeared in the ULOG around 3 AM to 8 AM in the morning with the following errors :

9119.1.0: gtrid x0 x4a878fe0 x7c8b478: LIBTUX_CAT:1384: ERROR: xa_start flags 0 returned -9
9119.1.0: LIBTUX_CAT:486: ERROR: Service request problem, tperrno = 14



Around 8:10 AM, there were the following errors :

081340.TuxHostName!LockItem.4430.1.0: gtrid x0 x4a878fe0 x7cf9210: LIBTUX_CAT:328: ERROR: No space in Bulletin Board for Transaction Table
081340.TuxHostName!LockItem.4430.1.0: gtrid x0 x4a878fe0 x7cf9210: LIBTUX_CAT:397: ERROR: Cannot allocate entry on GTT



By around 8 AM, when users logged in, they were not able to run the transactions.  They were getting a lot more of these errors in the Tuxedo Ulog :

LIBTUX_CAT:1384
LIBTUX_CAT:486
LIBTUX_CAT:328
LIBTUX_CAT:397



The entire Tuxedo server had to be restarted to recover from this problem.
