Symptoms
On Oracle Application Server WebCenter 10.1.3.2, when trying to apply patchset 10.1.3.5, after providing the correct password in the "Administrator (oc4jadmin) Password" page, the OUI states that "The password you have entered is incorrect", and the following errors is reported in <oraInventory_location>/logs/oraInstall<timestamp>.out
The password does not contain any special characters, and it was confirmed that it is correct as it can be used to login to AS Control Console
Changes
Oracle Application Server 10.1.3.2 WebCenter was patched to 10.1.3.3, then a new OC4J, Test_OC4J, was created.
The Security Provider for all OC4J instances (including home and Test_OC4J) was changed to be LDAP.
The change of the Security Provider can be verified using $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/Test_OC4J/config/jazn.xml
