How to Identify Sent or Received Status of an ASR Order in the MetaSolv Solution Application (Doc ID 1066890.1)

ASR's orders are tagged as sent or received in MetaSolv Solution application.


ASR "sent" and "received" orders are determined by the "MetaSolv Solution Owner" indicator values for the CCNA and ICSC. A "sent" order equates to the CCNA listed as "owned" and the ICSC listed as NOT owned in MetaSolv Solution. The "Owned" value is configured through Access Customer and ICSC within Application Setup >Order Management Setup in the MetaSolv Solution application (tbs.exe).

Below is information on how to correctly list the orders. Note in section (1) that, if you are sending an order, (2) when receiving, their CCNA is listed 1st and CUS or your CCNA is listed in the ICSC field. Your company's CCNA is determined by the "MetaSolv Solution Owner" indicator for the Access Customer.

Selecting the CCNA/ICSC for an Order

1.  Enter or select the CCNA:
      If you are sending this order, enter your company’s CCNA.
      If you are receiving this order, enter the customer’s CCNA. To query for a CCNA, enter one or more characters in the CCNA field, and click the down arrow.
      For customers who do not have a CCNA, enter CUS in the CCNA field.

2.  Select an ICSC to which the request is to be sent.

3.  If you entered CUS in the CCNA field, enter the customer’s name in the CUST field.

4.  Click OK to display the Administrative section of the ASR form.

Note: Validation rules for the ASOG version associated with the CCNA/ICSC you select are applied to this order. If the software cannot determine which ASOG version to use, the Industry Version Selection window appears for you to select the correct version.

The ASR API server assumes that an exported order is OBF compliant. It is the responsibility of MetaSolv’s core software product to ensure OBF compliance prior to task generation. The documentNumber parameter refers to the MetaSolv Solution DOCUMENT_NUMBER column stored on the SERV_REQ table for the ASR order. All export operations of the ASRSession interface require this parameter. The referenceNumber parameter refers to a third-party number. This number is determined by the third party. The purpose of this parameter is to provide the third party with a mechanism for matching a requested ASRSession operation with its resulting notification. All operations of the ASRSession interface, including notification operations, require a reference number.

The value for the sent or received status of the ASR order is determined at the time the ASR order is created depending on the value of the TBS_OWNER_IND on the ACCESS_CUST and ACCESS_PROVIDER_SERVER_CENTER tables as described earlier.  The value determined for the sent or received status of the ASR order is stored on the SERV_REQ table in the SENT_RECV_CD column ('S' for sent orders 'R" for received orders)

The following SQL can be executed to see the current settings for the CCNA/ICSC and the value that was determined for the sent or received status at the time the ASR order was created:

All customers codes along with their associated operating company numbers must be listed with their corresponding ASOG versions. CUS is a default and should not be entered in MetaSolv Solution.
