Goal

This document addresses the general guidelines and steps to be taken for Configuration Controls Governor (CCG) triggers while implementing database patches in Oracle R12.1 environment.

Question:
In order to properly implement database patches in a Oracle R12.1 environment, all triggers need to be removed. The Configuration Controls Governor (CCG) change tracking process creates triggers on the tables that are to be monitored. As a result, the patching process will require the removal of all CCG change tracking triggers, and then reapply them once the environment is back online. What is the best practice for removal and recreation of these CCG triggers?
