RSM Not Allowing Change To Hierarchy Permission (Doc ID 1146438.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to add data permissions to a role in Retail Security Manager (RSM), the following error occurs:

Caused by: com.retek.platform.exception.RetekAccessorException: Cannot change role on RoleHierarchyPermission once it is set.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
  Sign on to RPM
    in Task Dropdown > Change to RSM
      click Role Administration > Edit Data Permissions
      click on role: (ie: RSB Role)
      click on Edit button
      click on New button
         select application:RPM
         select hierarchy: Merchandise
         select depts: 1100 & 1105
     click Modify
     click Apply
Observe error reported

Note: Issue may also occur when adding Locations instead of Merchandise
