Internet Explorer Allows Saving Of Password In RDC Onsite Login Page (Doc ID 1201945.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 04, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Clinical Remote Data Capture Option - Version 4.6.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

RDC Onsite 4.6 application does not disable the setting in Internet Explorer that allows saving of password.
As a result a user can simply type in the login ID and have the password field auto-filled if he/she saved the password on being prompted.

Steps
------
1. Enable auto-complete of password in IE
2. On the login page for RDC, enter login Id and password
3. When prompted accept saving of password
4. Log out of application
5. Try logging in again
6. On entering the login ID, the password field fills in by itself

Result: User is able to get into the application without typing the password

This was fixed in version RDC 4.5.3.23 for <Bug 8506848> and has surfaced again in RDC 4.6.
Is this issue fixed in RDC 4.6?
