Enable Explicit Unix Timezone to be Selectable in Advanced Control Services (ACS) Control Plan Time-based Nodes
(Doc ID 1261975.1)
Last updated on JANUARY 05, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 2.4.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
Time based nodes in the Control Plan Editor (CPE) have an option to configure an explicit Unix timezone to use when performing time based calculations to determine which node exit to take. For example:
If permissions have not been granted to the Advanced Control Services (ACS) Reseller, Agent or Customer, then the explicit Unix timezones are not selectable and the node cannot be configured. For example:
The inability to select an explicit Unix timezone results in the user not being able to save the partially configured node and the control plan is unable to be (re)compiled.
Note that permissions between Resellers, Agents and Customers are not inherited. Permissions applied to a customer of an agent or reseller are only granted for that customer. This means that even if a customer can change the explicit Unix timezone of a time-based node, the reseller or agent they are attached to may not.
Further details of the Reseller, Agent and Customer relationship can be found in the ACS User Guide.
