Symptoms

In the planner, users can close an engineer once they determine the workday to be full. The workers jobs are ALLOCATED (locked to the shift) and the shift is CLOSED. The engineer is then unavailable and no further jobs can be assigned by the system.

In a certain situation a job came into ORS on the free-bar, the optimiser found an engineer based 100 miles away and assigned the job to engineer's closed shift. The cost after this occurrence was 4.5 million.

Users believe the slot should never have been offered.
