Install and Configure Apache Web Server as Proxy for Agile Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Filemgr on Linux (Doc ID 1265792.1)

Last updated on MAY 01, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Agile PLM Framework - Version 9.3.0.0 and later
Linux x86

Purpose

The purpose of the web proxy is to route end user connection to the Agile PLM application server through a web proxy that is typically located in the demilitarized zone (DMZ) to avoid exposing the application server host to the end users. This is a security measure that is important when providing access to the Agile PLM system to remote users accessing from the wide area network (WAN).

These instructions are provided as guidelines for the deployment of the Apache proxy module. The Apache proxy module is no certified by Oracle for use with Agile PLM. Oracle will provide support on a reasonable best effort basis.
