Purpose
This document describes key concepts and recommendations for developing, integrating, and deploying OSM and IPSA for flow-through activation of IP related services. It builds on the product artifacts available from Oracle’s eDelivery portal. This document describes the aspects of OSM and IPSA that are specific to such an integration task.
It does not describe generic product concepts like order decomposition in OSM or custom policies in IPSA, even though these concepts are important in an end to end flow-through solution.
If using newer releases of IPSA and OSM (7.2 or higher), please refer to the following KM note:
OSS Integrated Service Provisioning Reference Implementation for Layer 3 MPLS VPN Service with Metro Ethernet Access (Doc ID 1479821.1)
Scope
It is assumed that the solution designer has already identified the order types and processes in OSM that require IPSA.
