Goal

This article describes how to enable and disable tracing with SIGTRAN Stack on the SLC (Service Logic Controller) node.

This article also describes how to read the trace file.

 1. Enable SUA (SCCP User Adaptation) Stack Tracing
 1.1 Login to SLC as <USER>
 1.2 Locate the SUA stack start-up files
 1.3 Check the SUA stack start-up files
 1.4 Edit the appropriate configuration file to enable tracing
 1.5 Change the tracing value
 1.6 Find the Process ID (PID) and send HUP signal to it
 1.7 Check the SUA stack log
 1.8 Check the SCCP (Signalling Connection Control Part) trace files
 2. Decode trace files with tcread
 3. Disable SUA Stack Tracing
 3.1 Edit the configuration file
 3.2 Change the tracing value
 3.3 Find the PID and send HUP signal to it
 3.4 Check the SUA stack log file
