When a study has been locked for a number of months or years but has to be re-opened to load serology data (not a coded data type), Batch Validation has to be run in order for data to be extracted from the $STABLE
data extract views.
When Batch Validation is run against the study, any changes in the TMS coding dictionaries (e.g. MedDRA versioning) linked to the study will be applied to the study as well. There are cases when this
TMS re-derivation needs to be skipped.
