Convergence Mail Service Is Not Available For UID As Email Address (username@example.com) (Doc ID 1304233.1)

Symptoms

New install of Convergence 2 where the requirement is that user has to login as username@example.com. The hosted domain is enabled. Users have no problems logging into Convergence as username@example.com, however they can only access and see the Address Book information but can not see their INBOXES or any mail services.
