Sending Mail in Convergence Fails with Alert "SMTP Error" (Doc ID 1306481.1)

Symptoms

When pressing the "Send" button for a completed message, Convergence returns an alert message:

"SMTP Error"

Firebug in Firefox will show a request like this:


Changes

This problem could occur if the SMTP server is disabled, or the port of the SMTP server was changed.
