Symptoms

The Database Configuration utility returns the following error when testing connection to an Oracle Database for P6 Professional:

ERROR

Bad public user name or password. Database Server Error: ORA-12518: TNS:listener could not hand off client connection

Changes

The operating system may have shutdown or terminated unexpectedly.

The user has closed the laptop putting it in a hibernation mode while P6 is running.
