Voucher Wallet Server Interaction Fails with "Message content error: Map key [BTYP] does not exist" (Doc ID 1347434.1)

Symptoms

When a Control Plan contains a node which triggers a WI_Req (Wallet Information Request) to a VWS (Voucher Wallet Server) such as a PCSB (Periodic Charge State Branching) or a ASB (Account State Branching), an exception can be thrown by slee_acs signifying a failure in the processing of the returned ESCHER message:

Aug  4 11:44:42.048293 slee_acs(7314) ERROR: FOXActionHandler: Error processing message: Escher error: Message content error: Map key [BTYP] does not exist

This error is logged by the slee_acs process(es) on the SLCs (Service Logic Controllers), so can be found in:
/IN/service_packages/ACS/tmp/slee_acs.log
or
/var/adm/messages
