Error 500 for java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: "3-0" while accessing Extensions page (Doc ID 1353191.1)

Symptoms

Application users with a "USER ID" having a numeric value as the second value of their ID, can not access the Extensions page (example:<user1234> or <user2user>).  They receive an "Error 500--Internal Server Error" due to a java.lang.NumberFormatException.
