Cannot Accept E2B Migrated Cases Or Create New Cases: "The Case Number Already Exists" (Doc ID 1354197.1)

Symptoms


When trying to accept a series of imported E2B files, the following message is showing up for every file:

Case Number (CASE_NUMBER) already exists in the system. Can not import the report id ### 

Module : esm_import_data.CREATE_POST_CASE_PROCESSING


In each case the report id is different but the referenced case number is the same.

When trying to create a new case with Case Actions -- New the following error message is seen:

The Case Number already exists. Please choose another #.
