CMT Charged A New Fee For Legacy System Purchased Products (Doc ID 1365261.1)

Last updated on MAY 15, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 7.4.0.0.0 to 7.4.0.0.0 [Release 7.4.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

For a migrated account if a product is canceled, only one event has been created (the cancel event), the proration event has not been created.

On the legacy system, some accounts have semi-annual products (6 months cycle) and annual products (1 year cycle). All of them were purchased before migration to BRM.

It means that for a semi annual product, which was purchased 3 months ago before the migration day, this product will charge a new fee 3 months later which is the right behavior if this product was purchased using Customer Center.

After migration, and before next cycle (6 months cycle for this product) this product could be canceled and two events should be created: Cancel event and
a cycle fee proration event. But only one event has been created.
