Users Getting No Response to IMAP Select Inbox (Doc ID 1366155.1)

Some users mail clients appear to hang.  Further investigation reveals that the IMAP "select inbox" command is hanging:

aa login userid password
aa ok user logged in
bb select inbox

There was no response at this point.

Restarting the message store clears the problem, but it comes back eventually.


The customer was using an intermediate proxy system other than the Messaging Server MMP component.
