Lost Inbox Sharing Permissions After Moving To New Server With Rehostuser (Doc ID 1372931.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 15, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Messaging Server - Version 7.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After moving users from store mail1 to store mail2, they cannot access the shared INBOX anymore. Other shared folders are working fine, it's only the INBOX which fails.

Situation:
Before: User A's mailfolders A.INBOX and A.Sent were accessed by user B on (the same) server mail1.

Change:
We moved both users A and B to server mail2, using rehostuser

Result:
User B can access A.Sent, but not A.INBOX, although the permissions look fine on server mail2.

Remark:

<msg-server-root>/sbin/mboxutil -lxp user/userA/*

shows that INBOX has been setup to be shared.

Changes

Moving users to another store with rehostuser
