Convergence - Instant Messaging tab shows Connecting (Doc ID 1439686.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 31, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Convergence - Version 2.0 and later
Oracle Communications Instant Messaging Server - Version 9.0.1.4.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After users log into Convergence, the Instant Messaging (IM) pane in Convergence shows "Connecting...". If the user sets status to "Available", it shows "Available" in green, but it is still "Connecting...".

If the user tries other operations in Convergence-IM (for example adding a buddy), after clicking the OK button it shows "Adding buddy...". And the add buddy never completes.

Convergence iwc.log has:

DEFAULT: ERROR from com.sun.comms.client.web.AnonymousRequestFilter Thread httpSSLWorkerThread-80-2 at 2012-03-13 13:15:17,302 - Exception occured in doFilter() method
