Thunderbird Shows 'Unrecognized Command' When Accessing Mailbox (Doc ID 1449727.1)

A Messaging Server 7 MMP is being used to connect to a Messaging Server 6.3 store.

However, Thunderbird shows "unrecognized command" and freezes. The following pop-up error was seen:

"The current operation on Sent did not succeed. The mail server for account <mail@example.com> responded :"

Is there any configuration change to have compatibility between MS7 MMP and MS6.3 store?
