Purpose

On a live & real time IN system, the data are continuously being updated (Subscribers Profiles, Tariffs, Configuration, Control Plans,...) and need to be consistents across all nodes immediately, to cope with this requirement the SMS uses a custom data replication method to ensure consistency of data between nodes in the Oracle Communication Network & Charging Control platform, this document will clarify some aspect of this - too often misunderstood - subsystem.

Scope

The reader should have an overview on the aim of the Replication, and understand the basic concepts.
