Symptoms

When a session crosses over different time break and each time break has separate balance impact; during actual accounting, exact time breaks needs to be considered and accounting should happen as per the break. i.e. till the CC (Credit Control) updates on the day break, do accounting according to day time tariff, and for following CC-updates do accounting according to night time tariff.

Step to reproduce:

1. Defined a product with different rates for different time tiers. To charge it according to the time tier, define Time of Day mode to "Timed"
2. According to documentation (For Time of Day mode values)
Start Time : Charges according to price defined in the time period when the event began.
Timed : It calculates the price according to the amount of the event occurring in each time period defined for the rate.

3. Create deal, plan and create the account. Pass the usage, it gives below error/warning message.

NOTE: . When tested the scenario with Time of Day mode as "start time", it worked fine and even was rated according to start-time.
