Poor MMP Response Time With Kerberos Authentication - Third Party Auth Plugin (Doc ID 1470865.1)

Symptoms

Response time thru the MMP is poor when 3rd-party authentication plugin used with kerberos

Specifically, it can take several seconds to receive the banner after connecting to the MMP port 143.

The problem builds up over several days.  After restarting, performance is fine for a few days.  The longer it runs, the worse the problem becomes.

Changes

 Began using the 3rd-party authentication feature to authenticate with Kerberos instead of normal LDAP.
