Connecting Two NEPs On Same IP Address (Doc ID 1486490.1)

Last updated on MAY 08, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications ASAP - Version 7.0.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Customer is attempting to connect two NEP's to a single NE IP Address.

When orders are triggered, they are being sent to NE through one NEP only; the other NEP is not used.

Example:

NE IP address is <IP ADD>, mapped 2 NEPs viz., <NEP_SERVER-1> and <NEP_SERVER-2>. For <NEP_SERVER-1> primary pool is NP01P005 and for <NEP_SERVER-2> primary pool is NP02P007. Also entry in the tbl_resource_pool has been made according to the primary pool . But when the orders are triggered, none of the request is going to <NEP_SERVER-2>.

Can load balancing be achieved at the NEP end?
