Goal

One user is in the middle of a project for deploying Oracle Billing and Revenue Management (BRM) 7.4 on top of AIX 6.1 as the new billing system.  Such Oracle product requires XL C/C++ V9 compiler for AIX and the BRM documentation claims that V9 is the latest supported version of the compiler.

However, that is an old version of the compiler (newest is V11), and it will be deprecated (end of support) by IBM on September 30th, 2012, that is, about one year from now.
That means that we'll not be able to report or get fixes from IBM related to the compiler.

What is the roadmap that Oracle has planned to keep BRM in synch regarding the support of the third party products it requires?
