CCB, ETPM, BI, and RMB Platform AIX Error: Unable to Copy File When Installing Appserver Patch (Doc ID 1504416.1)

Goal

When installing the application part of CCB Service Packs the following error is encountered repeatedly:

The name of the file involved varies as well as the number of these errors.

User have installed SP5 on multiple environments as follows:

1) running installSPack.sh the first time will have 1 or more of the above errors involving 1 or more files.
2) we then delete the files in question from /SPLEBASE/runtime/
3) rextract the jar file and run installSPack.sh again will generate more of the above errors involving different files
4) steps 2 and 3 are repeated until there are no errors.

This process sometimes needs to be repeated several times. We have had one SP5 install that went through without errors the first time. We have also had one that required 10 runs before it had no errors. Most seem to require 2 or 3 runs.

User have tried the solution suggested in Note 870103.1, but this has had no effect.
