Error: "Server URL points to an invalid web application" When Logging into the P6 Mobile iPhone App and the Team Member Application Is Deployed on a WebSphere Application Server (Doc ID 1512339.1)

Symptoms

When logging into the P6 Mobile iPhone app and Team Member has been deployed onto a WebSphere application server, the following error occurs:

Server URL Points to an invalid Web application

 

Another symptom which can occur is the application can crash quickly when deployed on a WebSphere application server.  The following error will get written to the IBM WebSphere Systemout.Log, SystemErr.Log file:

 00000008 webapp        E com.ibm.ws.webcontainer.webapp.WebApp notifyServletContextCreated <SERVER>: Exception caught while initializing context: {0}org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException: Error creating bean with name 'jaxbContextResolver' defined in class path resource [META-INF/appcontext-ws.xml]: Instantiation of bean failed; nested exception is org.springframework.beans.BeanInstantiationException: Could not instantiate bean class [com.oracle.pgbu.teammember.ws.provider.JAXBContextResolver]: Constructor threw exception; nested exception is javax.xml.bind.JAXBException: property "retainReferenceToInfo" is not supported
