OSM Orders are only processed in one Node of the Cluster with a Load Balancer (Doc ID 1518653.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 23, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Order and Service Management - Version 7.0.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In a two clustered node environment with an external load balancer over the cluster that shares evenly the load all orders are processed only by the node that started up first. In the log file of that server it can be seen that the server is scanning for orders

Whichever managed server at the time that is producing that snippet of log, is the one that will process all of the orders. In the case that osm_ms01 was the first server that started and processes all the orders, if we restart osm_ms01 then the other server osm_ms02 will start producing this piece of log and precess all of the orders.

All orders are sent through the web service api (http://loadBalancer:port/osm/wsapi)
