MBService cannot change the current status of a device. It can only change the nominal status (among other attributes).
The nominal status can change in two ways:
- The nominal status is now different from the current status. (The device is now considered off-nominal and will be listed in the Abnormal Devices Summary tool.)
- The nominal status now matches the current status. (The device is now considered in its nominal state and will no longer be listed in the Abnormal Devices Summary tool.)
The Abnormal Devices Summary tool does not reflect the change in the device's status. (Either it still displays the device when it is no longer off nominal, or it does not show it when it should.)
