User logins fail, inbound smtp messages are rejected with error: 550 5.1.1 unknown or illegal alias
The following error is found in the LDAP access log file when trying to find the domain:
[28/Jan/2013:19:55:42 -0500] conn=2834921 op=1 msgId=2 - SRCH base="dc=sub,dc=domain,dc=com" scope=2
[28/Jan/2013:19:55:42 -0500] conn=2834921 op=1 msgId=2 - RESULT err=0 tag=101 nentries=0 etime=0.000370
This search should have returned at least 1 entry.
The LDAP server was rebuilt, and database re-initialized.
