Questions and Answers
Application cannot transparently failover when one of the RAC nodes failed. Does BRM support SCAN IP? What needs to be setup for transparent application failover (TAF)?
In Oracle 11gR2, Oracle highly recommended to use SCAN unless there is strong business reason preventing it from being used. As one of products in Oracle family, do you know why BRM can not support SCAN IP?
According to Oracle database documentation, SCAN IP should be transparent to application. Have you tried to test it yourself? Do you know what other Oracle clients setting are?
If SCAN IP is used, is there any configuration that needs to be done on BRM side?
