When Configuring New L3 VPN On Cisco IPSA Puts "vrf definition" instead "ip Vrf" (Doc ID 1531272.1)

Last updated on JUNE 12, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications IP Service Activator - Version 7.2.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Configuration of a new L3 VPN in IPSA results in a configuration rejection by the device. The rejected part is "vrf definition <name>".

This is because the Cisco box understands only "ip vrf <name>". This results in a  configuration rejection.

Newer IOS (12.2(XX) and higher) understands both syntax, "ip vrf" and "vrf definition".
