Can We Use DB IDs Other Than Ordermgmt And Ordermgmt_rule? (Doc ID 1537885.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 05, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Order and Service Management - Version 7.2.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

On the Database for OSM 7.2.0, can the customer use Database users other than ordermgmt and ordermgmt_rule.

Noticed the following behavior of OSM from the database perspective -

We need to have a Database user with DBA/SYSDBA privileges in order to install OSM and setup its DB, say its name is DBAOSM. During app install, following users are created who are used to connect from application at runtime - ordermgmt and ordermgmt_rule.

These users are also the owners of database objects.

As per customer policy, they do not allow DB IDs which own database objects to connect from application at runtime.

QUESTION - Is there any solution for us to be able to meet this policy i.e. instead of using ordermgmt and ordermgmt_role users, can we create other users who will not own database objects and then use those users to connect from application?
