Convergence-Mail - First Line Break Is Removed When Mail Is Composed In Plain Text, Using Convergence with Chrome or Safari browser

Symptoms
When composing mail in Convergence 2 using either the Safari or Chrome browsers, the first line break in the mail body is removed. The second line is appended to the first line. This happens if the mail is composed using Plain Text, instead of Rich Text Format.
For example:
1. Log into Convergence.
2. Go to: Options -> Mail -> General, and uncheck "Compose messages using Rich Text".
3. Log out of Convergence and the log in again, for the change to take effect.
4. Go to: Mail -> Write.
5. In the mail body, key in some text as shown below, and click Save.

6. Go to the Drafts folder and view the mail that was just created. The first line break is gone:
