Query on Redo Log Group (Doc ID 1564576.1)

Goal

An issue of "log file switch (checkpoint incomplete)" was faced in one of a customers production database servers. The DBA team at the customer end has recommended to increase the Redo Log Groups from current 3 (1 GB each) to 5 (1 GB each). The LOG BUFFER size is currently 14 MB, which will remain the same. Database Version used is 10G R2.

What is the impact - both positive and negative will this have on ASAP 7.0.0 performance?
