When Configuring LDAP over SSL (LDAPS) To Connect To U/G directory, Port Setting Is Ignored (Doc ID 1588165.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 15, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Messaging Server - Version 7.0.3 to 7.0.4 [Release 7.0.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

For the communication between messaging server and directory server, it is locally acquired to use SSL/TLS.
Also, in the process of doing so, the following configutil parameters were set:

The specific port number 50636 is necessary, as that's the port we have been granted access to by our network/security group.

However, it seems that when local.ugldapusessl is set to '1', the mail server will automatically always use port 636 and no longer uses the local.ugldapport parameter.
