Convergence Reports "The Mail Service Is Not Available" Because mshttpd Dumped Core (Doc ID 1605536.1)

Convergence users occasionally get a popup error message, "The mail service is not available. Please try again later."

The mshttpd process has crashed and restarted enough times that watcher finally declines to restart it again, leaving it down.

If the crashes do not happen too often, the users see this only as a performance problem when Convergence must retry requests to mshttpd because it has restarted.

The mshttpd thread which crashed has a dbx stack trace like:
