The PIN_CYCLE_FORWARD Utility Is Running in Loops and Taking Long Time To Execute (Doc ID 1622894.1)

Issue Scenario

pin_cycle_forward running in loops:

After the product definition/properties was modified for few existing products (from monthly cycle forward to purchase event), the first bill cycle was launched. Almost all customers are having that product in active state. Due to this activity, pin_cycle_forward utility went in loops. Previously pin_cycle_forward used to finish in 15 minutes.

As per analysis if purging the data of the accounts from PURCHASED_PRODUCT_CYCLE_FEES_T for the corresponding accounts and products the issue will be resolved. 

Is this action recommended in order to solve this issue ?
