Difference Between Printed Scale And Actual Scale During Rating In The Logs (Doc ID 1632698.1)

Last updated on APRIL 08, 2014

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 7.5.0.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Below a snippet of the logs generated during rating:

As shown, the value for scale is set as scale=0.166667.

The scale printed on this line is never real but the actual value used in rating is PIN_FLD_SCALE  DECIMAL [0] 0.166666666666666

The printed decimals sometimes lack precision compared to the value actually used in the rating.

The result is the confusion to customers about exactly which values being actually used.
