Last updated on OCTOBER 13, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 4.3.0 to 5.0.2 [Release 4.3 to 5.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The ACS (Advanced Call Services) Control Plan Editor (CPE) has certain feature nodes, such as the Play Announcement or Selection Dependent Routing, that trigger SRF (Special Resource Function) interactions with other network elements, such as Intelligent Peripherals (IP) or Interactive Voice Prompt (IVR) servers.  These SRF elements play the caller announcements or voice prompts.  These interactive feature nodes have drop down menus where Announcement Sets, with its corresponding Announcement Entries, are configured by selecting the relevant announcement that the NCC (Network Charging and Control) platform will request the SRF to play.

The goal of the article is to briefly describe the configuration of ACS announcement entries and their corresponding mapping to announcement message IDs that are sent to SRF.

ACS Announcement message IDs are customer specific and are configured to meet customer's own network specification.  Refer to NCC's user and technical guides in regards to announcement configuration.
