MetaSolv Solution client (tbs.exe) running on Windows 7 locks up in various areas

Information in this document applies to any platform.
Users running the MetaSolv Solution client (tbs.exe) on Windows 7 report that the application is locking up in various areas like Connection Design, Provisioning Assistant (SONET assignment), ASR, Network Systems, etc. The behavior can be both consistent and intermittent and affects 6.0 and 6.2 versions of the software running on Windows 7. Users may report "similar" problems in the application, but the behavior specifically addressed in this document can be easily identified by the following:
- Behavior is typically observed during expected or unexpected delay waiting for data (example; Network Provisioning Assistant where larger quantities of circuit data may exist)
- Behavior is typically observed after the application was flagged by the OS as not responding evidenced by the presence of (Not Responding) in its title bar
- Audible tone when trying to click on the application's modal window
- The mouse cursor/pointer does NOT hour-glass when placed above the application window indicating no processing/consumption of CPU resources
Customers installs MetaSolv Solution client on Windows 7 machines
Customers upgrade OS of existing machines from Windows XP to Windows 7
