Examples of Using Imexpire to Scan Existing Messages for Virus or Spam
(Doc ID 1641988.1)
Last updated on AUGUST 08, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle Communications Messaging Server - Version 7.0.5 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
Starting in Messaging Server 7.0.5, you can have imexpire invoke the same spam or virus filter mechanisms as used by the MTA. When imexpire does this, it can scan existing messages already delivered into the message store and take action such as removing messages found to be spam or virus. This is briefly mentioned in New Attributes for Spam and Virus Scanning Through an MTA Channel, but there is no detailed examples of doing it.
