Last updated on NOVEMBER 15, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Connector for Microsoft Outlook - Version 8.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Using Outlook Connector (OC) version 7.3.122.2 and upgraded to OC 8.0.1.0.0.

Any subscribed calendar entry containing a German umlaut in the first part, contains an UTF8 -like byte combination - which does not appear in the second part.

For example:
Calender <user firstname> Tönsmann - <user firstname> Tönsmann(/home/<user firstname>.toensmann ...

If you unsubscribe and subscribe again to this particular calendar, it will be shown in the correct way:

Calender <user firstname> Tönsmann - <user firstname> Tönsmann(/home/user firstname>.toensmann ...
